Prairie Songstress Music provides custom guitar, voice, piano, ukulele and songwriting lessons. The lessons are fun, effective, and tailored to meet the interests and learning style of each individual.  Lessons are available in your own home or in our studio.

  • Beginner, intermediate, and advanced guitar, ½ hour per week

  • Guitar/Voice/Songwriting blend, ½ hour per week

  • Voice lessons, ½ hour per week

  • Piano lessons, ½ hour per week

  • Ukulele lessons, ½ hour per week

  • Viloin lessons, ½ hour per week

  • Bass Guitar lessons, ½ hour per week

  • hour long lessons are available for advanced students

What You Need

  • instrument of choice (ukulele, piano, violin, bass guitar, acoustic or electric guitar)

  • battery powered tuner (for stringed instruments only)

  • capo (for stringed instruments only)

  • light gauge guitar picks (for stringed instruments only)

  • guitar humidifier (for acoustic guitars)

  • binder or duotang

Locations

In-home Lessons: We offer guitar lessons in the comfort of your own home!  Available in many East-side areas and West-side areas in Saskatoon, SK.  A quiet space free from distraction is needed.
In-Person Lessons: available at our 2 studio locations:

2811 Estey Drive (by Preston Ave. and Wilson Cres.)

213 2nd St. East (The Unitarian Centre, by Lorne Ave. and 2nd St. East)

Online Lessons: FaceTime, Skype and Zoom lessons available!

Student Performances

There will be an opportunity for the students to perform in a theatre setting at the end of the season.


Year End Recording Project

Available in May.  At the end of each season students can record a song at Contrast Recording!  Includes a tour of the studio, one hour of recording time.  This project has proven to be a fun and inspirational experience!  

Not Feeling well?

  • We have a zero tolerance policy for students or teachers showing up with symptoms of sickness. Teachers and staff reserve the right to request a student be taken home if they are in attendance with symptoms.
